Default Ceramic Coated Pistons

i was wandering if anyone here has any experience with this? i'm looking to maybe do something different with my motor.... maybe freshen' it up in the next year or so and i head about these guys and i've seen some of their work on a friends RX-7 and it was nice. but i was reading on their page and saw they did piston top coatings and skirt coatings.

We use the same coating on piston tops that we use on combustion chambers. All of the benefits the coated combustion chamber enjoys are applied to the coated piston top. By coating both the chamber and piston top you create a single chamber where the heat is retained, and used in full to press down on the piston top instead of soaking through the piston. This makes for more horsepower and even further reduced detonation. Coating the piston skirt with our permanent anti-friction coating gives you “free horsepower” by picking up lost horsepower from friction. Our coating is embedded in the piston skirt’s pores, so it does not wear off as time progresses.

The typical price for coating a piston top is $15 per piston top. The typical price for coating a piston skirt is $10 per piston skirt.
i know some of the big dawgs in racin' and pullin' use some sort of coating but how well would this work and last on a DD? and would it help that much? i mean it's 90 bux per set of 6 pistons to get the tops done and 60 more for the sides..... it seems cheap to me.... but i've never priced the service though....

probably get better fuel mileage because of not wasting energy through heat and friction. 150 bucks to free up HP and better fuel mileage is pretty good. i would get it

thats an amazing price for ceramic coating. it has proven to gain 6 or so horse power on gassers, if you want to go all out get the pistons ceramic coated and the exhauste runners coated and coat the intake with teflon along with the sides of the pistons =D.

its well worth it man, try Ross Pistons, use their green coating, same thing top fuelers run and the stuff is rock hard and bonds deep into the metal, it transfers less heat to the engine and more out the tail pipe, you MAY see a slight increase in EGT's though......
