Looking at a 2000 to 2003 Ford Excursion with a 7.3, from the research I have done these engines are virtually bullet proof as long as there where maintained. The prices I have found for these range from $13500 to $15000. It just seems like a large chunk of change for a 14+ year old vehicle. Mileage on the ones I have seen range from 180,000 to 250,000. All Excursions are southern trucks as well. I live in Wisconsin so what problems could I see with a vehicle that has spent all of its life in the sun and warmth?
