Has anyone with a newer DEF truck in California received a letter from the Air Resource Board (CARB)? They wanted to take my truck for a month and do tests on it, and were going to compensate me for it... and ominously said also if they end up destroying the engine, they would reimburse me for the truck... What's this all about... Does it have something to do with the VW Diesel scam?

I ignored the letter, by the way. If I can avoid any unnecessary contact with any government institution I will.

But lately I have also been receiving letters and even calls from Chrysler dealers offering me to buy the truck or trade it in for a new one. Coincidence?
