New Diesel owner, asking for help before I spend more money.
I bought a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 with the 5.9 of course. This thread asks advice on a few things. I will try to consolidate.
'03-'12 Cummins Fuel Filter Kit
The above link is a 3rd party that sells fuel / water filtration kits, down to 2 microns. Does anyone suggest using this or something like this one?
There is no tranny temp guage on this truck yet. Does anyone suggest a guage (or any more guages for that matter) and where to get them. Also a temp cooling unit. Looks like they are mini radiators that circulate the tranny oil? Any suggestions on that?
Finally, this is a 3500 but someone suggested the suspension air bags anyway? At what pin weight should I consider doing that?
My intent, though it will not be for another year, is to use this to pull a 5th wheel, possible in the 14,000 - 16,000 GVWR range
Thanks for any help you can send my way

I have an '05 with a 12,100 gvwr an I have no problem with a bumper pull 14,000 lb dump trailer. Heck I'm barely sitting below level! Find your gvwr on the drivers door and go from there. A lot depends on your weight distribution and type of trailer (goose or bumper pull). I'd get mechanical EGT gauge and trans temp. Personally I like Summit Racing, but XDP or thoroughbred diesel are good, as is Amazon if you watch what brand you get. Per my experience, don't be a deush pulling and the truck works great.
