So i bought a 02 2500 ram. the guy drove it around for 3 years with out a operational lift pump,
Litterly cranking it untill it started every time. so needless to say it came with a brandnew starter ! After sitting for like 3 years. i direct wired the pump to the battery and beat on it untill it started doing something. then drove it 900 miles yesterday with it not working. this morning i hooked it back up and sure enough no sign of life, smacked it with the breaker bar and it gargeled a bit.. Hit it again and it sounded like a pump, Waited like 30sec and it fired on 4th rev. the truck runs like a top and i threw like 2 liters of two stroke oil in for good measure.
i hear so many horror stories.. So what give's?
