I am not a mechanic but getting tired of seeing them ! I would like to know if anyone has suggestions for me. I would love to keep my olf farm truck running, but over the last year it got harder and harder to start. when it did start it would run VERY rough, blow white smoke, but after awhile I could drive it. It has finally died all together. One guy told me PMD is "about all that ever goes wrong with the 6.5, so he replaced it. this had been replaced twice before (once very early- maybe 4-5 years old) in the trucks life, and the symptoms are not the same. it was fish biting then and it finally died in the middle of an intersection with me. and it sat 2 -3 years before I could put another $800 in it . It had been running great before this starting issue.
This came on very slowly..so two guys are telling me two different things. One guy says an injector something or other -part very expensive.The man working one it says this truck does not have computer injectors (electronic). says he checked the glow plugs and they were fine. HELP
