Stopped for fuel today and when I got back on the interstate I shifted from 5th to 6th and 6th was like neutral and shifter flopped around like it was no hooked up to anything. All other gears worked until I got off the interstate then 1st, 2nd and 3rd where gone. Still able to get 4th and 5th. Got it off the road and now have no gears. Shifter just flops around. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

Oh yeah. I have a 99 ford f-350, 7.3, ZF-6 speed.

 

I have heard the roll pins can work loose and fall out of the forks ...

I have one here that did that and shifted in 2 gears at once , and shreaded all the gears i can see with the shifter out ..

 

Thank you for the reply. It's at the ford dealership now. Will post update when they find the problem.
