Conversion Retains Factory Suspension, Just $3,500Those of you born or raised when Kool & The Gang’s “Celebration” was a brand-new chart-topping hit probably remember the Volkswagen Rabbit pickups. Based on the compact hatch with a longer wheelbase and a cargo bed, they were the perfect urban alternative to the larger and thirstier pickups and El Caminos of the day. The original Rabbit pickup went out of production in the U.S. in 1982 but continued on in other parts of the world and ultimately morphed into the VW Caddy, a compact cargo van along the lines of the Ford Transit Connect or Nissan NV200.
