The folks at Smittybilt have just released the M1 line of fender flares, which is specifically designed for fullsize trucks like our 2009 Dodge Ram 2500.There’s no denying it: Trucks look good with big tires. This is especially true when it comes to heavy-duty diesels, which seem to have been designed with large rubber in mind. Trouble is, with oversize tires comes the risk of rock chips to the truck’s body, and most states have laws that govern how far out of the wheelwell tires can protrude. In the August 2013 issue, we installed a set of 35-inch Dick Cepek Mud Country tires and Gun Metal 7 wheels on our 2009 Dodge Ram 2500. Like most Rams with aftermarket wheels and larger tires, the big meats looked great but stuck uncomfortably far out of the fenders. Fortunately, the folks at Smittybilt have just released the M1 line of fender flares, which is specifically designed for full-size trucks like ours.
