I found a 2004 f250 with the 6.0 in it I've heard a lot of bad things about these and I was wonding if you thought all the bad was gone through after 220 thousand mile on it? They only want 8000 for it just wanting some input here please

 

just like any used auto, it is a roll of the dice. there are a few checklists out there for buying a used 6.0. I found one and printed it out when I was truck shopping.

I would bring along an OBD scanner of some sort (scangauge II or a smartphone + app + bluetooth dongle are both pretty cheep) so that you can read some basics on a decent test drive(oil temp vs water temp for one)
