We say this because Ford’s top towing machine is “only” rated at 24,700 pounds and Ford is not a company known for standing by while competitors challenge its dominance in the truck market. Making things even more uncomfortable for the Blue Oval is the fact that the new Ram 3500 has proven in real-world testing to be more than just shiny numbers on a spec sheet (see ’13 Ram 3500 HD vs. ’13 Ford F-450 on page 72).
