USA Industries - Buyer beware Starter Motors
A repair shop working on my truck brakes claims my starter went bad. They put a USA Industries 064072 domestic battery in my CK3500 6.5L Diesel. The starter goes bad in 118 days. USA Industries states on their website a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty.
USA Industries will not warranty any starter that is not directly purchased from them. In other words when an aftermarket warehouse or repair shop buys the starter for your vehicle they cannot transfer the warranty to you since the warranty is nontransferable. If the warehouse or repair shop wants to give you a 30, 60, 90 or 365 day warranty or no warranty it is their call.
