We all like horsepower in the magazine industry, but there’s also more to trucks than just going fast. Case in point: Project Rust Bucket, our ’89 Dodge Ram D250, has had its fair share of problems over the past couple of years. We all like horsepower in the magazine industry, but there’s also more to trucks than just going fast. Case in point: Project Rust Bucket, our ’89 Dodge Ram D250, has had its fair share of problems over the past couple of years, stemming simply from being an old truck. The Dodge also alternated between being daily driven and sitting for long periods of time, which is about the worst environment for an older vehicle.

I have a 90 w250 and the main problem I've had is wiring going bad. drives me crazy. I also have a 92 that I restored from the alxes up and it's doing the same thing.

mine are seasonal trucks . I use the 92 between March an December and the other I drive during the winter plowing and hauling junk my kids collect during the summer to the scrap yard. so I figure it's animals doing a job on the wiring
