I own an 04 5.9 just hs some tranny work done I overtightened the side band adjuster and had to put a new strut in., with a solenoid and gov. pressure sensor. tranny shifts good just alittle hard in first gear? My ? is should I put a new tranny in the truck in maybe 50,000 miles or so or put the $ toward a newer 6.7 when the time comes? I get about 21mph on the road? (est. about 3500.00 on rebuild of tranny ) After driveshaft work by that time and ac I will probabley have over 5000.0 repairs done ...Is is wiser to put this in a new 6.7 or keep this truck?
