Because Your Neighbor Has An F-350Ford’s Super Duty has long been known as a workhorse for the towing crowd, but as trailer weights crept up in the early-2000s, customers needed a truck with more towing capability than what was offered at the time. This niche demand created an interesting problem for Ford, as customers were buying medium-duty F-450 DRW chassis cabs at a premium over the more comfort- and consumer-oriented F-350 DRW and having them fitted with paint-matched beds in the aftermarket.
