newb questions, towing with v2203 ranger?
I have done a bit of searching and it seems that a 90's ranger with a kubatu v2203 would be an awesome swap. It would give me great gas mileage but I am concerned it won't be able to tow enough. Since the v2203 gets nearly the same torque as the v6 in the rangers, I'm assuming that the v2203 in the ranger would be alright towing a car on a flatbead. Is that correct?
A quick background. I need a small truck to move my motorcycle but I would also love to be able to tow my porsche 944 (ls1 v8 conversion soon). The porsche weighs 2800 but I should be able to drop that down to 2600 lbs. I would be mainly using the truck as a winter beater but in the cities a large truck is awful. It would tow the porsche maybe once a year when it breaks down. I would love for it to be able to tow it 300-400 miles.
Any thoughts? Are there better options out there.
