Honestly its not a huge problem if it does, but just keep it in your mind that it does. I would not hesitate to buy a truck with a 53 block if your that worried about it give Cummins a call and see what they say, I like dealing with them, they care about there customers...

Also only a hundred thousand blocks were proablamatic and cummins is not only in dodges, there in fire trucks, dumptrucks, Case Tractors, and there not all in the us either. The 53 just designated who made the block... So even if it does dont fret to much....

The injection pump is on the front drover side of the motor. I can get a picture later im at work. But you'll see the fuel filter housing towards the rear of the motor on the drivers side look directly in front of that you'll see a line going into the IP right under that is where it'll have 53 stamped in it or not. Honestly I wouldn't worry about that as much as the lift pump, steering components. IMO

those do look very good! if i do get those, they will be black. i plan on painting them like i did the rims on my ford. and also i think red looks great when blacked out. how much did it cost for that front bumper of yours, ranchhand?

im going to have 36 dollars left so i wont even be able to pay the title fee yet..
and believe me im going to jump on it as soon as i test drive it wednesday and make sure everythings perfect! the guy is a heavy equipment mechanic for CAT so i would imagine he knew what he was doing. doesnt have a gooseneck so it never pulled hard either. hes only put 40k since hes owned it. im not the fondest of longbeds, but i will make it look good with a little $$

I paid 200 bucks for my bumper, I had a friend buy a 01, in horrible mechanical condition and he like to make things into prerunners and asked me if I wanted it at first he wanted 500 but guess no one wanted to grine off th brackets so I said 200 and got her, also got the took box.. Id take it, for 14K in a jiffy, I had 20 bucks left when I bought my truck had to drive my POS dakota. I like the way long beds looks espicially when you get 285's on em, Remeber the Cummins Prayer.. Our Cummins Hollowed by the CAT.. SO if he was a cat mechanic im sure he new about cummins.
