HOW TO: Propane
#81
My question is how does the acetylene gas regulator work with the propane bottle when the threads on a propane valve are left handed female threads and the acetylene valve is male with right hand threads? (Yes I did just take the regulator off my acetylene bottle and look at it to be sure, plus the bottle is in the back of my truck.)

propane burns at 3254 degrees F flame temperature and acetalene burns with oxygen at 6000 degrees flame temperature F.

What about propane with oxygen? If I'm not asking for too much.

Back to the subject, I found another valve. This valve has a solid yellow brass lower body and stainless steel inners. The other guy couldn't tell me what was inside his valve but he new it wasn't stainless. This is a better valve for less money, 26.90+4.95 shipping 1/4" or 3/8" from " valves4projects " on EBAY. Valve does fuels and gases and hydraulic oils, 12v DC.

OK, I got mine done !! The valve I told you all about last only took 3 days to be in my hands, and I ordered it on Monday the holiday. I took a pic of it laying on the invoice if it's readable. I only took it for a short backroad ride after finishing it but I definately felt it when I hit the switch. Yippee !! Thanks Guys !!!!! By the way, I had everything but the valve and the switch so the whole thing only cost me about $33.00.
