I agree with the 7.3 idea, the new ford motors are CRAP! Nothing like a tried and true International wrapped inside a Ford.

I have both a 2011 F350 powerstroke and a 2010 3500 Dodge cummins, both are great trucks so far

The Ford is a king Ranch and the Dodge is a laramie. I like dodges interior better and the dodge's cab is sealed better then the Ford. Plus I like the Mega cab better then the crew cab. Plus the exhaust brake works great on the dodge.

I have to say I like the transmission better on the Ford, for a auto it is almost perfect. I havent had any trouble with the trans on the dodge but it just doesn't shift like the ford.

I don't see what was so great about the 7.3, ya it was reliable but power The 6.7 powerstroke can pull better then any modded 7.3 I have ever rode in.

I would say Ford all the way, but all the trucks have their pros/cons. There is a great video on DieselPowerMag.com with the three trucks competing. In my opinion, the Ford should have won but according to Diesel Power, the GMC came in first. Ford had best 1/4mi time loaded, best braking, best ride comfort, and best fuel economy. Unfortunately, the exhaust brake on the Ford was least effective and it reached the top of a big grade slower than the GMC. Thus, the GMC won. And yes, they were using the 800ft/lb Cummins.
