Default Who uses 2 stroke oil in their Ford?

I am considering using 2 stroke oil in my fuel but have seen a few claiming I should not to use it in Fords. Looks like most everyone that uses it is a dog owner. What say you?

Me thinks putting anything other than an actual diesel fuel additive in a HEUI is asking for trouble.

Just me....but Stanadyne Performance Formula or the over-priced Ford stuff--which is Stanadyne in a different bottle--is all a HEUI Navistar really needs.

The 2 cycle oil is a shadetree solution to lubrication issues with the Bosch VP44 pumps on 24 valve ISB Cummins engines.....some people think it works in the older Roosa-Master rotary pumps like a 6.5 GM, or an IDI Navistar in the older Fords as well, but to each their own...

I love to put diesel in my tank... Done it for about 1,250,000 miles without any issues.

Seems to work great for me.

Ok, but do you dispute that the newer diesels have lower lubricty qualities and can cause premature ejaculation, oops, I mean premature wear? Sorry, the smell of diesel just gets my motor revin.

LOL...

In all honesty, yes ULSD has removed some of the lube from Diesel, but if you look closely they also add back lube in the final mixes.

The only REAL issue with ULSD was the sulfur caused O rings to swell over the years, when they removed the sulfur the seals began to shrink and crack so you had a rash of fuel leaks... Most of that is gone now.

Throw good, clean diesel fuel in your tank and your truck will never let you down on a fuel issue.

I was wondering about that, in that diesel place thread about all this, they were talking about fuel that wasnt treated, like before it got to the pump, meaning the fuel at the pump was different than the stuff they were testing but I just assumed I was high from the diesel fumes and was misreading it, all 11 times.

I see 0 harm in running a little 2 stroke oil honestly. Not a necessity, but no harm either.

Stanadyne did pretty poor on independent lubricity tests, compared to other products. Opti-lube comes to mind, one of the best. The best additive is 5% bio diesel.

Decided to not do the 2 cycle thing, affraid it would sound like a weed eater on roids, I am however trying out the Stanadyne, I noticed within about 5 miles it wasnt clattering as loud, especially at that 1600rpm mark. Probably wouldnt have noticed it till the next start up if I wasnt listening for it. Fuel mileage is the same on the freeway but 1-2 tenths better in town, according to the "lie O meter".

Stanadyne Lubricity Formula or Performance Formula?

I bought both but I am trying the lubricity formula first. I want to get Opti Lube but it isnt carried locally and I dont want to order it online yet, and as for the Bio, only 20% is available around here. If I was going to bye bio it would be 100% and then I would add it like a suppliment.
