ford door lock actuators

just saw some folks discussing fixing door lock actuators cant find that conversation anymore. any ideas?

$77 a piece from Ford and they aren't too bad to replace. Just helped my buddy replace his friday.

Now how exactly does that company get away with like 80% the cost? And how long will it be before those break because $77 vs $5.50 has got me thinking its probably cost beneficial.
