Default 7.3 vs 6.0?

stock vs stock who will win a 7.3 or a 6.0? i got a buddy who wants to pull against me but i don't wanna tear up my new tranny i got a 7.3 hes got a 6.0. he wants to pull with chips but wont that burn up our motors?

My guess is the 6.0 especially if you're babying your tranny...

If you are both tuned he will hurt you bad.

Are you guys racing or hitch pulling each other?

If your not racing, disregard my first post...

If your pulling eachother... There are quite a few variables including weight, traction, lifted truck or stock level...

pulling yeah he will beat me on the track but we r both stock highth n i got goodyears n i think i got the weight on him . will turning on the chip pulling burn up the motor?

Do you have gauges? just watch your EGT's...

But keep in mind, its not about turning the chip all the way up, its about putting the torque to the ground efficiently without spinning the tires. Soon as you lose traction, you have lost the fight.

yeah i got gauges edge digital gauges it will warn me how high i go n yeah tons of toque

What are the cab/bed configurations. 2005-2007 superduties are NOT light. What year truck does he have? The newer ones have quite beefier frames, so that's where a lot of the weight comes from.
