The biggest things I can see is a standalone trans controller for the allison, bellhousing adaptor for the trans, and of course drivelines. Its doable but I think it will definitely be alot of work. But other than that it would be badace

You would need a stand alone PCS controler (about $800) and an adapter (about $500-$800), then a T case adapter of some kind ($400-$800)...

And with all that, you have a stock Allison tranny...

Nothing special to a Allison, they will not hold up to anymore HP then a mild built 4r100 and they are not easy to tune, even with a PCS controler.

he can get a built ally to handle what ever he throws at it, and the tuning is not as hard as you might think it is. i'm not saying it will be cheap, it cost to play hard.

I think he will be ok provided his rig has a mild tune. Those are the known issues of an Allison. The 4r100 has its own, but a mild built Allison will trump the mild built 4r100 any day! Granted the Allison does coast a little more. I believe this guy has the right idea. The Allison will give you better reliability and economy when everything is tuned in.

A built 4r100 (tranny that is in his truck) will run him $4200 bucks, have a warranty, be easy to tune, work on and require nothing more...

Just no bang for your buck.

You can do a Stage 5 PPE Trans Rebuild kit with convertor for $2560 after core that can handle 1200 HP at the crank. I just think it would be unique and cool

$2500 for the "rebuild kit"
$1000 for someone to build it
$800 for a trans adapter
$800 for a T case adapter
$800 for a PCS controler...

Not much of a bargin IMHO.

There is a guy in our local chapter that put a 6spd allison in his 24V Dodge pulling truck. He likes it so far. It's the OP's money, so at the end of the day it's his choice to put whatever he wants in, but with that said, I am kind of with CSIPSD on this, I'd just build the 4R100 up. They're really stout when built.

Lots of good information and once again joe love the comments man i took your advice on my othe thread and called up brian truck shop dude quoted me 4200 for a rebuilt
4R100 so after the 1200 on that and everything to convert and the rebuild on the allison idk

the main thing is how much HP has the clutch plates in the BTS build been tested up to anyone god any idea? because i want my tranny solidenough for mud play and maybe some racing with 500-600 HP and 1000-1300 in torque so i guess wat im trying to get at is the lemon worth the squeeze of an extra 4-5Gs
