I have a fifth wheel hitch that I'm trying to install on an 02. The brackets all mount up fine except for the back 2. They require me to drill thru the frame right between the shock mount bracket. I don't see any way to install the bolts even if I do get a hole drilled. Would it be OK to weld the bracket to the frame? I've heard you shouldn't do that, but it looks like my only option. Please help!!!!!!!!

 

Nope. It can be done by a professional that knows the PROPER way to weld on these frames but it is highly recammended not too.
