Yes I did... and even sillier, I was at Glamis when it happened. The truck was already on its way back to Phoenix when I heard about John. So I had a choice to tow it back to California and let him work on it, or have one shipped and installed. The costs were getting out of control to do all that. I should have jsut towed it to John at that point.

So I opted for the less taxing and more local Strictly as stated in the post.

I've only had the truck for about 2 months and as I build it, it will need John Wood's assistance at some point. So, maybe in a year or 2 I will roll it over to Cali and have him do it his way.

So far the trans is shifting really nice. Firm and crisp shifts. I will keep the post updated if anything else occurs. SO far so good!

 

Been a couple of months and some towing... Went 400 miles back and forth from Glamis this weekend. Transmission shifted strong, and performed as I would expect. Towed a 23 foot Superlite with 2 quads in it. I would guess 7500 pounds with water and fuel loaded.

Now if I can just get a little more out of the tired 200K 7.3 to help with the hills.

Next will be exhaust, chip and maybe stage 1 injectors.

Just wanted to let everyone know the status. So far, so good.
