You imply by this thread that we work?

Although I'd prefer to avoid the activity at all costs, I'm a former Coastie and retired LEO here in the Tampa Bay area, and own/operate a private investigative and court process service company here.

My company has a subsidiary that supplies expert witnesses in various disciplines, from marine accidents to Motor Vehicle Crash Reconstruction and crash data analysis, (among many others) as well as consultants and trainers.

I personally consult and train in the following:

Self defense/Use of Force issues
Weapons (deployment and use, from firearms to chemical/tasers)
Police Procedures
Tactical Driving
Police and Civilian motorcycle Operation
Boating safety/handeling (up to 26's)

I'm also a contractor to one of the Federal Agencies providing instruction in small boat operations (up to 26' loa).

Finally, I'm a D.O.I. Certified Airboat Pilot with a locallly based SAR team. Our team was formed during Hurricane Katrina and has been active in many high profile searches assisting law enforcement and private agencies in the search for missing persons since that time. We work as well under FEMA and State EOC when called upon.

Our team is a totally self sufficient, non-profit organization (under IRS and Florida guidelines) and recieves no state, local or federal funding. Instead, we work on our own time andour own dime, as well as through donations of equipment and $$ and some grant programs.

For that same team, I'm also the project coordinator for the Bark Ark, which is a 32' Airboat rigged to function primarily as an animal rescue craft in the wake of hurricanes and other flooding aftermaths, to assist various animal services groups such as the USHS, Fish & Wildlife, and other national, state and local animal rescue groups in thier efforts to rescue and/or secure both small pets and larger live stock. We do this by providing the platforms for thier rescue personnel as well as a work platform to safely transit flooded lands and re-establish fencing, provide veterinary transport and the provisioning of fresh food and water. We even have our own veterinary support teams and animal handlers if needed.

The craft and it's crew have a secondary misson to support law enforcement and rescue personnel with transportation of personnel/equipment into an effected area and injured/rescued (or deceased) persons out.

The majority of our members are active/former law enforcement/Fire rescue and military personnel, some such as myself are a mixture of both (LEO/Military).

Other than all that crap,...I'm just Victorias' Grandpa

Well, I went to Wyotech to be a diesel Mechanic. But now the only diesel I work on is my own. All the rest have spark plugs.

Mechanic on a Natural Gas Pipeline. Work on 40-50-60 year old Coopers, Clarks, IRs, and a few 3600 and 3500 Kitties. And a few Turbines.

I am a farrier. In other words, I shoe horses, reconstruct/rebuild their feet, deal with various gait issues and confirmation (the way they stand) problems.
