Default Won't start after warmed up

Hey Powerstroke guys. I have a friend that when his Powerstroke is warmed up, it won't start again until it cools down. He called the dealership and they told him that the cam sensor is bad. That doesn't make sense to me.
Then he told me that if he shuts it down on a grade, he can drift start it. Said that it turns over good with the starter when warm but won't start.
Any ideas?

if it is a 7.3 then i'd bet money on the CPS. it will do some crazy stuff. mine sometimes wouldn't start cold, my friend's truck would either just shut off while driving, idling, or whenever it felt like it and wouldn't crank back up for over an hour. there was a member here that whenever he used his intermentant wipers the truck would shut off. tell him to go to Ford and get it replaced for FREE before they go under cause there is a safety recall out for the CPS

Default no warm start

I have a 6.0 psd that had the same problem. Turned out it was the high pressure oil pump
when the oil was hot, it would not make enought pressure to fire the injectors. expensive repair at the ford garage. FORD DID HAVE A WARRENTY recall or update on the high pressure oil pump connection.

The truck is a 1994 with a 7.3. My friend replaced the CPS and it still won't start when warm.
Thanks all for your thoughts and I will pass them on.
Anyway, leaning toward Todd's remarks, are there any other sensors that would keep the engine from starting because of thinning fluids because they are warm? OIL, FUEL Pressure, ETC..... What about a shut down solenoid?
Thanks Guys.

how longs it been since he changed his oil? If its thinning out maybe try to change it and see if that helps out to fire the injectors...The HEUI injection system
