Fuel Stations
i was just wondering what you guys thought the best fuel station was for your diesel. this is my first diesel (7.3) and my other truck is a 76 f-250, when i would go to murphy's station at wal-mart i had to run premium gas for the truck to run, but at shell i could use 87 octane. in every vehicle i tried it seems it runs the best off of shell's fuel. does anyone have any experience with the quality of the diesel fuel they carry? it is about 15 cents cheaper there than at murphy's. i dont want to put crappy fuel in my truck, but the lower price would be nice? am i better off with shell?

But besides for ethanol and specific station filters, storage, and contaminant issues, I'd think most fuels are the same quality.
I use pacific pride or chevron but in Oregon you can't pump the fuel yourself so I don't trust the people at the station so more often I use pacific pride its about $2 cent more but its diesel goin in not gas
ethanol is only for the gas IIRC. if you can find 500ppm diesel than thats some good chit. 15ppm is more common, its ok but not as good as the 500. all diesel is the same pretty much. i always put marvel mystery oil in my tank or 2 cycle oil or the grey bottle of power service.
