Default 6.0l vs. 390 gasser

I just wanted to tell you guys a funny story. This kid I know tried tellin me that his 1977 ford f-150 would outpull any diesel! He said even my stock 2003 6.0l. I just laughed because I know that my powerjoke would kick that gassers *** any day bu, I figured it would be real funny to listen to him howl mached up against some of these tuned cummins! Sound off !

If he has a 4 speed with granny low then he will have quite a bit of traction! Also whats done to the 390?

I don't think power will be the issue, the heavier truck with the most traction will take it, and my gut tells me the 6.0 will easily...

traction helps more than power, but id still vote the 6.0 seeing as how i believe it might be heavier.. never been in a 77 ford

He still hasn't wanted to actually pull yet I keep trying to talk him into it. I told him the same thing you guys have said, the truck with the better traction will win. I told him I want to have an actual towing challenge where will load two identical trailers with two identical loads and pull up a pretty decent grade. He still claimed that he could beat me. I told him there is no was that he would be able to keep up pulling 5 ton loads with out burning up his transmission! So what I really meant was an actual towing battle.
