2005 FORD F350 6.0
Have a stock 2005 F350 6.0L diesel with 170,000 miles. Needs 2 new injectors probably replace all and shakes around 50=55 MPH think it's the torque converter trying to lock up. Was looking at doing EGR delete, coolant filter, and cleaning oil coolter passages, ARP head studs, new head gaskets and upgrading injectors for more power.
Just wondering if I might be cheaper in the long run after spending all the money to bulletproof the 6.0 I might be better putting a new Ford 6.7L or Cummins 6.7 in and selling my 6.0 to offset some of the cost. It still runs good and I think tranny is OK except possibly the torque converter is going. I would do a triple disc anyway, rebuild and upgrade the tranny and eventually add or compound a turbo want more power but be reliable daily drving truck that gets decent mileage. Any opinions?

I bet if you replace those bad injectors, the shake goes away.
In fact, without even diving in, order two bottles of rev-x to try first, I bet it clears most of it up without touching anything else. It's not the torque converter going, it's the injectors sticking. It happens at high load, low RPM situations, like when the converter is locking up at 50mph and you're not hard on the throttle. Quite common.
The stock torque converter in a 5R110 is already a triple disc from the factory...
As for selling the truck and going with a new one, that's your call but you can buy a lot of parts when you're not making huge new truck payments...
