dont get me wrong, i love this truck, but theres some little things about it that drive me insane and i need to know how to fix
#1- rattling doors. im the plant supervisor at a rock quarry so i travel alot of not so pretty roads. my doors shake alot, i've tried movin the latch around, but it doesnt change. how can i stop them from shakin?
#2- the "door ajar" light stays on when the doors are shut
#3-every great once in a while the WTS light stays on after the truck starts, shut it off n restart it n it goes away. what causes this?

and dont even get me started on non-greasable u-joints...

 

the ball joints are greasable you just gotta take em off i just went and replaced all the rears with greasables, the were like 10 a pop....as for the other two you got me...

 

There is a mod to help reseal the doors; that may help your rattle. I would have to hunt for it, but basically need to buy a special tubing and install it inside the existing door seals.

as far as your door adjar light; there is a mod to cure this as well. Would have to hunt for it as well.

can't help with the 3rd issue.

 

#2 - WD40 the door locks, both on the door and the pillar.
#3 - Check your fuel bowl heater/Water in fuel plug

 

i know what you mean. i just picked up a 2000 extended cab and the drivers side ext cab rattles like crazy when you hit a small bump!!! i can't stand it. if anyone know how to fix this, that would be a blessing!
