Things to look for???
Hello Bombers..
I am fairly new to diesels but I loved the one I had to let go a couple of years ago. I have found a truck I really like but I know nothing about lift kits and off-road equipment. I have a found a 2000 F250 King Ranch Diesel with only 57,000 miles on it..they are asking 24,999.
I really dont care about the price, but it has a lift kit, oversized tires, etc..I want to know what to look for or feel when I drive it. I will be driving it tonight. I have never driven a truck this tall so the tires and steering I know will feel funky..any help would be appreciated...

You'll no if there's a problem in the steering. It'll go one way or another den the road, see how easy steering is. Honestly, expect about 8-10 mpg, and spending about 2500 in tires every two years or so. And replacing front end parts faster than normal. Its a sharp truck but big lifted rigs front ends don't last as long as a stock height truck. Its your money but just fair warning don't want you to spend that chunk of change and then turn around a year later and have to put 3500 in the front end and them tires etc. Don't forget routine maintenance like air, oil, fuel filters. 7.3 take 16 qts or oil with a filter its almost 80 just for that. Just trying to prepare you. Good luck keep us updates.

Damn. Lol.ok just wanted to tell you. Alot of guys go out and buy a 20k or more truck and complain they get 10 mpg or there jacked up with 37's on it and complain about tire cost and front ends going out. looks sharp. Where do you live cold climate? If its a dealer tell the to not start it until u get there same with a private person ask them to make sure engines cold that way you can kind of see how it'll be in the winter. I always check fluids and their levels, air filter etc.
