Default Thoughts . . .

Hey all! I am new to the forums. I have a 1999 F350SD Crew Dually... 66K miless. It was my dads, but as his health deteriorated, he passed his beloved down to me. He had some work done to her. Back in 2006 - by XtremeDieselPerformance. He upgraded the turbo to the GTP38R; upgraded the converter (only problem is, I don't have a clue which one they installed - doesn't say on the bill); Installed a deep tranny pan with Amsoil ATF. Also, has the Banks Transcommand module installed; and the Banks monster exhaust. Has gauges (EGT, Trans temp, Boost) Also, a superchip tuner.

Over the past few months, I have noticed a heavy vibration/noise - can be felt pretty good on the passenger side floor boards... Seems to be when she gets into operating temp. Any ideas?

* I've checked the exhaust, brackets/holders and heat shields from what I can see - all look well.

It looks like, I'll need to swap out the Idler pully and throw a new belt on - but I know that shouldn't be causing the noise.

Also, some basic knowledge for myself - what is considered normal EGT temps for driving? I run it @ 6-900. Good? Bad?

Thanks in advance for comments/suggestions!

Joe

Yeah the superchips programmer is really a joke. The ts six position is only about 295.

Thanks for the quick posts.

I was reading on the forums - See that a lot of people are swapping out the powerstroke for Cummins; is this for racing purposes?

What is your opinion on the 7.3?

My buddy around the corner from me has a Cummins - he put an air intake on it, and supposedly created some much back pressure - it blew his exhaust - so he had to go out and get an exhaust for it - in my opinion, doesn't sound that great.
