Maybe look into aerodynamics, add an air dam under the front bumper to keep the air going around the vehicle instead of getting caught underneath. Possibly a tonnue cover or bed cap. Check out Airtab.com, I ran 'em on an old Accord I used to have, picked up a couple miles a gallon.

I got the bumper in progress now. Well guys, to Denver I was running 75- 80 and I was getting a whopping 11.2! On the way back I was running 65 the whole way. I got 18.5!! I think I'll be running at 65 now.

going from Hayes to Denver you are climbing from 2200 ft up to 5700 ft near Denver... so yes your going to get worse mileage...next time do the speeds in reverse and see what you get....

Dang, I was gonna make a smart-*ss comment about goin' uphill to Denver, then downhill to Kansas. It's something to consider, but I don't think it's going to be steep enough to notice climbing 3/5 of a mile over that distance. Wind resistance will have a much greater effect.

i realize it's a elevation change but i don't think it will make that big of a difference. in denver i'll get 14 ish around town. the next time i go back i'll try 65 again.
