Default truck shopping, whats it worth?

a local used car dealer has an 02 f350 for sale. its a single rear wheel, crew cab, long bed 4x4 automatic. 130k miles, no rust (odd for a 10 year old truck in northeast pa) only 1 small dent in the tailgate. the truck is immaculately clean inside, outside, and under the hood. previous owner traded it in for a small car. i drove it and it rides nice(r than my dodge). the only thing that kind of worried me is the bolt holes in the bed where the 5th wheel hitch used to be. they have no idea what or how much he towed... the transmission felt strong. they have it listed for 14,600. what do you guys think?

See what they would give you if you traded in your dodge. I'd offer 12500, sounds like a good truck just look it over.can you tell if it's been painted or not?

haha yeah right. my dodge isnt worth 1/4th of what i have into it. and i've have to push it there. plus it'll be another month before the head is done, the compounds are on n thats mobile again. if, IF i end up buying this truck, it WILL be left stock. the dodge will be my toy.

paintjob looks factory... it has a 30 day, 50/50 warranty (they pay half, i pay half) im wonderin maybe just tell them to drop the warranty n take a grand off...

how much should i worry about the HPOP?

do you know any one with a good scanner, like AE? sometimes they will let you plug it in. if they aren't trying to hide anything.

I wouldn't be worried about the HPOP...

I sold my 00 cclb srw 6speed for 10k with 140k on it and a huge dent in the side of the bed not too long ago.... Sounds like that truck is priced fairly from what I have seen...

Sounds like a good deal... 2002 is a good looking truck with all the bells that they ever had for the 7.3 trucks.
