i have a 2003 f250 with a 7.3L i just replaced the altenator. When driving on the high way the battery light will flash on and i will loose my dash and radio head lights will dim then most times when it stops the engin light will be on for a lil while. The engin light will eventualy go out if the problem stops long enough... what could this be iv taken it to the shop and they cant figure it out

 

look at the alternator when that light pops up that means two things one bad alternator which isnt the case here second check the wire on top on my truck my wire frayed due to old age tug it and make sure its not loose that might be the problem its happened to me a few times i just cut my wire shorter and re-striped it and put it back on the alternator

the battery light will pop up when it sences no electrical charge.. engine light i have no clue never had it happen before might have something to do with the battery light hope it helps

 

I agree with articfox, I had the same issue with my wire fraying. My battery light would flash with every bump on the road.
