ohm 9 pin to valve cover, not sure what to make of this
I was getting a SES light once and awhile and the truck would run rough. Once I lost power on the highway and had to pull her over. Stopped the engine and restarted, all was normal. I started reading up on the problem and decided to ohm the 9 pin connector and got OL at the injectors. I removed the valvel cover and saw that the other side was plugged in and it had fords clicp to locking in. I reseated the connector anyway and did the ohm test again and it read less that 5 ohm. Put her back together and started it up, ran GREAT for 1 minute and then SES light came on and ran way worst than before. Did the ohm thing again and they all over the place. Can I get some advice here please.
I'm getting lots of smoke now when I start it up. If I need parts can you tell me what I might need and were to get them at the best price?
Thanks alot guys

I still don't have codes but might have it tomorrow.
I rechecked the ohms on the Injectors and they are all under 5 ohm, normal. I think I can rule out the wiring harness with that, right? I did notice that the female 9 pin connector had missing insulation near the plactic connector, on both sides. Could that be causing the problem? Also I did a light test on the female conector with the key turned on (with the wait to start light on) and the key off and could not get the light to come on the probe. I checked the probe on other things and the probe is working.
Thanks guys for sticking with me until I get the codes to you.

Put a code reader on today, no codes.
Had a friend put his code reader on it today and no codes. I know his code reader works because he uses it on his 7.3 and 6.0. Ohmed the drivers side and had all the injectors read 1.9 which sound odd that they all read the same but I did it 3 times.
I also changed the CPS, got it at Nappa for 25.00, no change in idle at all but I am able to get some RPM out of the pedle which wouldn't happen before.
