Default 6637 napa filter

im hearing about using this napa 6637 filter and making a cold air intake for my 2003 7.3 and im really interested. what im gathering is i get the filter and a piece of 4inch tubing bent at about a 45deg angle. then use a connector with clamps and im good. so what would i do about mass air sensor and what type of pipe should i get and where from. thanks for the help

Just forget about the sensor, zip tie it to something nearby. Any aluminized pipe will do from anywhere you can get it. Finished product will look like this... BTW, Napa sells those filters for quite a bit of money, look at Riffraff, I think he sells them for half what my napa wants...

Not trying to stir the pot, but the guy that pays sponsorship fees here will see you a 6637 intake with the pipe and clamps for cheaper. just FYI. take a look at both the zombie intake and riffraff.

It should be noted that the 6673 is NOT a cold air intake. It sucks hot engine air, but because our truck have intercoolers there is a negligible difference between any CAI and hot air intake on the 7.3L.

Regardless, it is a great filter.

That fancy little box really doesn't do a whole lot.

I was originally going to DIY it but I ended up getting the riff raff kit cause of the pre-filter (I know its not necessary but helps give the filter a little more life) and I was very impressed with the fit and finish of everything. You will like it!
