I'm going to be painting everything underneath including sheet metal this spring. Check out a product called Rust Bullet. Here is the link Rust Inhibitor Paint | Stop Rust | Rust Corrosion Inhibitor | Rust Converter. Supposedly it will eliminate and prevent any more rust for 10 years! I'm still researching but leaning this way. At 264,000 and rolling on my 01 i'm planning on keeping it another 10 years!

Yea, paint is definitely going, going and the rust is showing up! According to Rust Bullet's site there isn't much prep needed and guaranteed for 10 yrs. Still waiting for reply's back on some other forums if anyone else has tried or even heard of it

i suggest taking all wiring and what not out of the clips and let it hang. then on the more rusted areas, hit it with a scotch brite pad on a die grinder. i guess it depnds how much time you want to spend. when ever i do m rigs i'll lift the cab and bed a bit and blast it.
