bowie- where is your second alternator. i figured it went where the A/C pump sits.

 

a shorted battery will not over produce current... as in this case... now sometimes they over build batteries and sell them in lower classes... (1200 cca sold as 900)
so if a cell is shorted then it would be lower...not higher...
