Default gauge lights not bright

Hey Everyone,

Happy New Year's to you! I wanted to asked if anyone has replaced the bulbs in the gauge cluster. Is it do-able to replace them or not?? Maybe it's easy just time consuming. I don't know. My lights are not as bright as they once where and I wanted to upgrade. Thanks for any input!!

you have to turn the headlights on for the gauge lights to come on it's easy. you have to pull the gauge cluster out, then the bulbs just twist out. pretty easy.

Thanks for the reply. I was not sure if I had bulbs in my cluster or something like a filament in the cluster. So you pull the cover off and the the cluster is accessable from there or do I dig more. Looked on youtube and didn't find any vids showing anything.

And yes I know you have to have the ligts turned on before they will light up...haha!!

ok, the dark grayish piece that is around the gauges and most of the dash popts off. pull the radio out firdst. then un plug the headlight switch and what not. then there are 4- 8 mm screws that hold the cluster in. pull the cluster and flip it over and they are right there. i can't remember the bulb size. but they are very small.

fordornothing,

I got thrown a curve ball last night about 6 pm so I didn't feel like working on anything Sat morning.

I got a pink slip due to a new contract falling through. Maybe next week...when I have plenty of time...oh well.

Sorry for the confusion,

I got laid off from my work while on sick leave. Not a good feeling or great or any kind of feeling. Not much in the mood for anything right now>
