I'd say go for Interstate Batteries, 850CCA. I understand they're not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for

Thats what I was afraid of. I live in the southern part of Tennessee and CO-OP is basically a farmers supply store. Batteries there are cheap and MASSIVE!!

Hell, even Die-Hard batteries you can get at Kmart work great, and they're alot cheaper! i got some in my truck.

just whatever you do, no Duralast batteries from autozone or Maxi start's from walmart (black and yellow pieces of ****). you'll be bringing them back within a month or two,

Mine are 7 years old. Over the course of several years my truck sat without running for months on end to the point where the calipers seized from rust. Would bring out another company truck and boost it to move the rig and allow it to run and charge up the batteirs some. Found interest in it again, replaced the brakes, and ran it again for maybe a year until the inspection sticker ran out. Sat again for a year or so without running the rig. It was long enough that again the brake calipers seized up from rust. Boosted the truck, did some body work and started using it for somewhat daily use.

Since then I recently drained those same batteries on multiple occasions chasing down an electrical issue over two months. My fuse box was shorting out during rain storms and everything including my heater fan would ran constantly until the batteries were dead. I can say that it's takes some time to charge them back up and is a pita, but they have not failed to come back to life.

All that abuse and these seven year old batteries are still running strong and test out perfectly OK when I was at the local parts store trying to figure out if I had a bad alternator or batteries. After these batteris, I'm buying interstate batteries from here on out.

Best damn battery I ever owned! That, and they warranty them no questions asked (unless you put a hole in it or broke the posts off it or something stupid like that).

but back to the glow plugs, i wanted to add, if you do intend on replacing them, either get motorcraft or Autolite's. as we all know motorcraft is ford, and autolite was pretty much ford back in the day, i've had best results and longevity with those.
