So, I replaced the valve cover gasket and wiring harness. It was definitely fubar'd (grab a pic later around lunch), the second terminal closest to the cab was melted.

Unfortunately, it seemed to only have helped a very little amount. It reduced the severity of the miss (doesn't seem to BUCK any more), but it's still definitely noticeable.

The gasket and wiring harness also came with the other end of the plug, you just have to cut and splice it in. Though I'm kind of debating whether I should do that or not, because the existing plug (exterior side) looks fine. I'm gonna take it back to my buddy's shop, and have him clear the codes and rescan it. Thinking maybe that 1316 code still being in there is throwing something off, but I don't know.

Oh, and where is the fuel filter located on the 7.3's? I swear, if it's one of the in-tank filters......

If the plug on the exterior is fine then leave it be...

Codes being on the PCM will not cause it to run rough. If your still having issues I would check the other side as well.

The fuel filter is in the valley right behind the High Pressure Oil Res. Cant miss it. Black lid right dead center of the valley.

There are no in tank filters, there are filter screens in there, but at this point I doubt thats it.

Hope I don't have to do the other side. Just looking at it yesterday, I was thinking to myself that it would be a pain in the *$$... So what in all do you have to take off to get to the valve cover? Intercooler pipe, some AC components?

Awesome, thanks again. I'll pick one up just to give 'er hell.

Any other avenues of thought for what might be causing that miss?
