I had a early 1999 7.3 run fine till the day I sold it

Yep, the link covers the differences pretty well guys... Smaller injectors, different turbo, smaller HPOP...

Check your relay's... Simple as popping open the hood and seeing if there is one or two...

The swash plate is inside the HPOP, not something you can check.

You could also measure the intake runners, that will tell you because it's unlikely they have been changed..

In the picture I attached, you can see on the left side the GPR, right below it is the AIH relay. If your truck is a late 99, it will have both. If not, it will only have one... The intake runners are where that spyder for the intercooler at the top of the picture go down into the motor. You can't see them but look under that spider and you will see what I'm talking about..
