Default 7.3 Value ?

Im curious, what is a good 7.3L with tranny & transfer case worth these days (engine is out of a 2000)??

Found a nice crew cab and would like to do a Cummins swap (if I ever get a big enough garage)

Don't know values but I'd only sell the motor and KEEP the rest if you're intent on putting a Cummins in it. The trannys and t-cases are pretty damn tough.

about a buck and a quarter....just kidding Doc....

Honestly, call NADP as Barry used to have a list of dudes looking for drivetrain components. I havent seen him since last year at the Red Deer show, but they had one then...

Shane, do yourself a favor and call Malcolm at Harbour City Diesel here in Nanaimo. He specializes in Cummins swaps and has it down to a science. You bring him the goods and he will have it done and tuned accordingly in less than a week.

Doc,

Out here a complete unit like that with relatively low miles gets between 3 and 4 grand...sometimes more, rarely less. They're pretty sought after by fleets around the pacific northwest.

I agree with the other guys on keeping the transmission and transfer case, too. The 4R100 can be built really really strong, and the t-case is about the best there is available in light trucks.

I know next to nothing about these guys, but their adapters look pretty nice:
