I have my eyes set on a gt38rr ball bearing. Is that my money well spent?

Is there better options for 7.3's out there?

Where is the best place to buy turbo's like this?

Depending on your power goals, a 38r is a great turbo for the stock to 450hp range... The great thing about it is you don't have to buy a custom mount so that will save you some money but again, it's about your power goals and matching a turbo to those.

As far as where to get them, I'd hit up the sponsors of the site, they pay to keep the lights on for this site and are here to help you guys. I'm sure you could get a few price quotes from them if you posted up in the vendor section...

 

What about more than 450hp? Like over 500, maybe 600, but not more than 700, turbo whistle is a +.

 

well WOP makes a few. the QSSB is good for about 425. the GQSSB is good for about 500. the nthe KASB is good for over 600. but if you're over 600 you're probably gonna have compounds.
