Untill I get my restricted, (so during my 180 permit days which is complete bull****) it will not be on the road unhooked to a trailer (gonna help out my neighbor who is like a grandfather to me haul his equipment and round bales) Since he has driven a truck and trailer plenty of times (trucker for something like 50 years) he said he'd coach me good haha. So I am pretty excited. But it's gonna be a work truck, probably going to be one of the most off-roaded 2wds around (should be mounting my toolbox this weekend, and I will always keep a chain with me).

you only have to carry a permit for 180 days? hell i pretty well tought myself to pull a trailer and back up and stuff. but if you're going to be in mud and loose gravel. i suggest cooper discover A/T. i think that's what they are. where i work we have a 98 dodge and a 07 dodge that are both 2WD. we're off the paved road 75% of the time. those tires do great in the mud. but i guess when the pickup hits the scales at 15k it digs hard. then the other 07 is 4WD and we run those tires on all corners and it's been stuck once. but it was in the ditch sank to the frame

ONLY! haha thats gonna be the longest 6 months of my life. And Cooper Discover A/T's, got it. Would it be a wise idea to just buy 4 of those tires for the back and 2 cheepie up front?

yeah i'd just get 4 for the rears and get a set of semi agressive steers, just to keep the front end where you want it. and it's the cooper discover S/T, not the A/T. 6 months is nothin. i had to carry mine for a year. but my parents made me carry it for 2 years since i had bad grades in school. the only down side to the permit is the part that says there must be a adult in the vehicle. but it's still not bad.

pretty much. you can buy the adapter plug from riffraffdiesel. and you need to cut the header panel.

Yeah might aswell be. Don't get discouraged half way through cutting the header panel, it looks rough then but it all comes together great! Easy as hell, and while I would recomend buying the parts from someone here on DB, I did cheat and go the EBAY route with the adapters (figured if I messed up I wouldn't be out to much)

Alright sounds easy enough

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I will need this conversion kit. Riffraff Diesel: 9007/9008/H13 Conversion Harness Pigtail even with aftermarket 05-07 projector headlights right?

i'm going to say yes because if they projectors are for the 05- 07 then it probably uses the 05- 07 plugs. but i'm not entirely sure.
