even then. my 94 was a powerstroke. not the turbo diesel or the IDI. it would still fire right up but my 99 turns a few times then slowly starts to fire.

 

alright thanks guys...so how do i check the glow plug relay?

 

With a multimeter. You need to ensure you have power at one of the big studs and nothing at the other. Then turn the key on and you should have power at both big studs... And there should not be a huge difference between the two.

 

you will know your relay is bad if it is below 30 degrees not pluged in and not starting. or you just have bad glow plugs.

 

remember, just because you hear it click, that doesn't mean it's working.

 

Click this link and install this... Then you always know if its working or not.
