Mine is a home brew setup right now but when I replace the filter next time, I'm going to order the kit from riffraff

This is a Tymar intake... Basically a better version of the 6637 Air filter mod... You can pick up a couple clamps, some 4" pipe bent at about 45* and a Napa 6637 filter... You will then have yourself a DIY intake for about 50 bucks and it flows all the air you really need...

I bought a AFE PRO DRY S drop-in for $57, I clean it every 10,000 miles, I'm happy with it

I have had the AFE Stage 1, and Stage 2 intakes on my truck. I now have the TYMAR intake, and i like it much better. no more cleaning it, i got tired of cleaning the filters. i can go right down to TYMAR and $23 later im on the road again.

I have a K&N cold air intake... in my opinion seemed to give it a little more snap... my question though is when you're going through the process of cleaning the filter, can you spray the "cleaning solution" on the filter and then submerge it in a bucket of water so that the solution doesn't dry on the filter but yet gets a good penetration and then rinse it out the next day... or is that too much soak time and will that damage a reusable filter

I would not soak it overnight, but for an hour or so it would be fine.
