I don't have a jack with me, but that is a good idea!

even the crappy factory jack will work. it sould be behind the back seat on the passenger side on that truck. when i put tires on mine, the guys at the tire store brought it to my attention. with 144,xxx on it, those could be the factory ball joints. but maybe not. if they have a grease zerk on the bottom, they have been replaced.

True that, I didn't even think about that. I have a whole checklist of things to look for now!

any time i look at a vehicle for me or someone else, i have about a million things i want to check. but when i look at it i forget all but 3 of them. . i'd definitly check for blowby, ball joints, spare tire? the special key in the glovebox so you can get the spare down, jack and cranks, leaks of any sort. i'm sure you know what to look for.

Ya, I had a whole bunch of things in mind as well, But time became an issue. The truck has a spare under the bed and it also comes with another set of tires. So two sets of tires and wheels. One set of tires is 15% tread and the other has quite a bit of tread. Didn't seem to have any leaks that I could see.

Ya two sets. The second set is in the bed and is much better than what is under the truck currently...

well that's a good deal. i don't know about you but i hate buying tires. seems like a nice truck. i wouldn't be horribly concerned about the clutch pedal squeak.

I hate buying tires with a passion, I put decent used tires on my current truck over summer cuz I refused to buy new...

I think the clutch pedal noise is the least of my worries now that I've discussed it with you and a few others...

well when i put tires on mine, i spent $1,345 on them. they got a 50,000 mile warrenty that will be getting used. 16,000 miles and i got 1/4" tread left. i'm not to happy. i didn't think it was a big deal. easy fix, well should be.
